My father was a doc at Montefiore in the 60s and 70s. If we were lucky, after he made rounds on weekends my parents would take us to Schweller's or Epstein's or an Italian place that was further away that also isn't around anymore. Did Stella D'Oro have a restaurant? I think Schwellers was across from 208h St. Do you remember the address? Please don't tell me that it's now a Popeye's Chicken? There's one there now in a two story buiilding. I also remember the bialy place on the west side of Jerome near Schwellers I think (?)
